HEAL Spoken Here...

In this session, we will explore how trauma at an individual scale affects the collective and vice versa. Our social issues stem from the way we collectively use language, often reflecting our trauma-based reactions. This traps us in cycles of misunderstanding, fear, and chaos, making it hard to feel connected and balanced. In the past twenty years, we've focused on transforming this social dynamic through enriching education.

Using HEAL in schools helps teachers and students connect deeply while relating across different subjects. HEAL integrates all aspects of language—thinking, feeling, body responses, and social interactions. It also helps us explore our connection with nature and the planet, encouraging a holistic approach to learning. This is crucial in our complex world, where we need integrated (transdisciplinary) knowledge and teamwork to solve problems.

HEAL’s application, in social emotional learning (SEL), will fascinate youngsters as they can see how this practice internally validates what they already know deep within. This helps them influence their difficult emotions toward healthy resolution in a very short time. The holistic understanding gained through this action-learning process can help anyone stay more present, allowing them to internally overlook the continuity of their subjective and objective experiences —as a whole.

In this session, we will explore using HEAL’s integrated language to map the internal to the external, and vice versa. This better prepares professionals, specifically educators, and everyone interested in personal growth, for a constantly changing world. To sum up, we aim to transform education so that learners feel empowered to “metabolize” their experiences, gain hope, be self-aware, empathic, and able to think deeply and in an integrated fashion. It cultivates a whole new way of perceiving and being in the world.

Experience:

  • In this session, we will use the same HEAL-based dialogic process and consciously hold space for and with other group members to evolve the group toward the next evolutionary stages of growth.
